In October, Elizabeth was (finally!) blessed to receive her BAHA (bone anchored hearing aid)!
2 years ago we sought insurance approval for one and were flat-out denied.
This year, for some reason, insurance didn't just approve it ~they paid almost the entire price of it! That was a HUGE unexpected blessing!
This hearing aid uses bone conduction of sound to help Elizabeth hear out of the left side of her head. We notice she localizes sound better and seems to pick up on the nuances of sounds better too.
Now that she hears better, she is having to re-learn how many of our words sound...it's been a challenge, but we're sure she'll master it!
