OUR (LONG) DAY

a sweet way to start our long day...Elizabeth and Andrew were singing to baby Ester while her mommy and daddy ate breakfast.

Then we farmed our 3 kids out to my mom and sister and Edward and Grace had family watch their 3 kids....and we spent most of the day clearing out their burned out apartment unit.

This is where we spent our day:

I went thru 3 pairs of gloves and wore a mask most of the day.

We were able to salvage quite a bit from their place-surprisingly.

Some may not come clean from the soot damage, but we will try.

We are praising God that we are thru with this hurdle.

Now we spend the weekend trying to clean their things to see what they can take to their new place and what things need to be replaced.

The HUGE blessing of our week is that we have found this family a place to live and they will move in next Wednesday and Thursday.

It's not in the location they were wanting and it's much smaller than their burned out unit...BUT God has provided amazingly for them.

Where they will live is in a much safer and nicer neighborhood for an unbelievable price. The entire complex is privately subsidized and exists for the purpose of helping families like Edward and Grace's.....the working poor.

The complex has an "education resource" room where the parents can work on the computers to learn/enhance their computer skills, take ESL classes, work on their GED....and at 3pm this room turns into an after school program room...and in the summer it's a summer program room for the kids.

There are so many other huge benefits of this new place it's just amazing.

We are in awe of how God has provided abundantly for this family.
