We have an update or 2 to give.....which like the title of the post says, leads us to ask for prayer!
We received a call from our agency this morning. The agency rep in Ethiopia went to the US Embassy today to submit the necessary paperwork for us to get an Embassy Appt of 4/27.
When he arrived, he was told the department handling the adoption visas had decided to close for the week.
ugh.
That leaves us in limbo.
The agency rep is going to do all he can to get our paperwork processed in time for us to make the 4/27 date....but we need the good ole US Embassy to work with and for us!
We may not be given notice until next Thursday the 22nd -which is less than 24 hours to get on a plane!

We have decided to be packed and ready to go at a moment's notice...but if it doesn't happen by next Thursday, our trip will be delayed until the 2nd week of May.
Please pray with us -that if it's the Lord's will, the US Embassy will re-open this week and is able to quickly process our paperwork so we can get the boys now instead of having to wait until May.
BUT -we also know everything happens according to His purpose so if He chooses to have this trip delayed, we will rest in Him and know that He is in control.

update #2 nasty stomach flu is approaching. My sister's kids had/have it....Elizabeth came down with it yesterday.

I've just Lysol'd my entire house, the kids aren't allowed to play with Elizabeth right now (which is fine cuz she pretty much wants to be left alone to sleep!), we're taking immune system boosters, etc.
Please pray that this bug stops with Elizabeth...and if it doesn't stop and goes thru our whole family, please pray John and I are well enough to travel IF we are given the chance to leave next week.
On top of the snags we're dealing with, we're also dealing with new tires for both our vehicles. Both the Yukon and my van had flat tires this past week.....not exactly what we wanted to add to our to-do list nor our credit card bill...but you roll with the punches!

When it rains it pours! I'm praying for your whole family and the entire situation. I know that you want God's will....I know that you know His timing is perfect...I also know how HARD it is to wait!

I'll pray for you if you'll pray for me ;) We are waiting for the MoWA regional office to open so we can get the final letter which will allow us to get in line for a court date...so I know how you feel. PRAYING!
