HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY BIRUK!!

Today our newest amazing blessing turns 6.

We are so happy that he is home with us for his birthday. :)

We already had a little party for him on Sunday ~with grandma/grandpa, auntie/tio and all the cousins...there were 18of us in all...crazy fun!

This whole week the 3 older kids have VBS at our previous church so Biruk had fun this morning~this afternoon we're going swimming ~and then tonight we're going out for Ethiopian food. It's actually the first time he's ok'd us having Ethiopian food since the first weekend we were home. He hasn't wanted it ~always telling us "no Ethiopian food -I like American!".

The kids have been begging to go back to the Ethiopian restaurant and I think they talked Biruk into going. :)

here is Biruk on Sunday with his ice cream baseball cake. Being Ethiopian, we thought he'd be all about all things soccer...but nope....he's into all things baseball! and ice cream. so this was the perfect kind of cake for him. :)

and here he is doing what he loves best -swim!

Remember a few weeks ago I posted he wouldn't leave the steps of the pool and HAD TO have a floatation device on? He still likes his floatation devices, but will leave them if he has mommy or daddy nearby

the kids jumping into the pool -this was from the weekend...by last night Biruk wanted me to stand on the opposite side of the pool (the shorter width side) and he would jump to me without a floatation device, swim to me...hang on to me just to get air, and then swim to the steps. He's come so far!!!

Even though you've only been home 7 weeks, you've fit in seemlessly.
We pray you will continue to learn to love and trust us and that God would continue to knit us together as a family of 6.
