can you tell what this "first" was?if you guessed "lost tooth" you'd be correct!
Saturday (the 24th), I had just left the kids with John and on my way to the 2nd day of our state's homeschooling conference. I was only 5 minutes away when the phone rang ~it was John telling me "did you know Biruk's tooth is REALLY loose?"
back in May when he had his first dentist appt, the dentist told me he had a tooth that was starting to get loose, but it seemed pretty tight to me and I just hadn't checked it again.
As John and I were talking he said "uh -not loose anymore ~he just pulled it out!".
I was so bummed to have missed this first!!! But I told John, "grab the camera!!! get a picture of this!!!"
When I got home I asked Biruk all about it and I could tell he was a bit freaked out ~cuz the tooth right next door is pretty loose too and I was commenting on how he'll lose another one soon...and he kept saying "no more gone!" We had to show him how Andrew has lost 2 teeth and that new teeth had come in. :)

He looks so much different than when he first joined your family...it's obvious that he's thriving with you. What a blessed boy!
That's too funny about him being nervous about losing his teeth. Can you imagine the thoughts in his sweet head about what was happening to him? :) I once read a children's book about a boy who started worrying about his body falling apart, but I can't think of the title right now.
How was the homeschool conference?
