A BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR ME!

Only my family and very few friends even know about this, but I joined Weight Watchers exactly 4 weeks ago. Today, I weighed in 1/2 pound UNDER my goal weight! Yippeeeee! Now I just have a few weeks of "maintenance" and then I can be a "life time member"....but even though I'm supposed to just "maintain" my weight, I think I'm going to try to lose about 2 more pounds. :)

I felt pretty silly signing up as I only had 9 pounds to lose, but I've struggled with those 9 pounds on and off for 4.5 years -ever since Andrew was born. Over the years, I've done WW on and off and had some success-but I always did it on my own (my mom and mother in law are/have been lifetime members so would give me their booklets and such). Lately, I've REALLY struggled with the weight coming off. I knew what I really needed was to be held accountable -I needed the motivation of knowing I had to step on a scale in front of someone else!
I had set in my mind that it would take 8-10 weeks to get the weight off because, in the past, when I've done this on my own, that's about how long it has taken. This time, with the accountability, it only took 4. Today I'm wearing shorts that I couldn't even squeeze into 4 weeks ago -and today they're a bit loose!

I just had to share my excitement!

To celebrate -I went to Starbuck's to get a chai tea latte. :) Haven't had one in weeks! (and boy was it yummy!)

Congratulations on getting off those last few pounds you've been wanting to shed. I'm sure ww was a help but I also think trucking through all those homes and worrying about buying one probably helped too. Whatever works right! Here's to two more pounds for you!

That's my problem, I went to Starbucks, and had a Chai tea latte today too, only I wasn't celebrating! I lost 40 lbs 2 yrs ago, starting with WW, then on my own. I started gaining it back last year after a surgery I had. I have been needing to go rejoin, only I am putting it off, because I know I am starting all over, and I can't get on the scale. I wish I had only 9 lbs. to go, but it is much more! Whaaa! No more Chai tea for me for many months!!!

Congratulations! I am so proud of you, even 9-10 pounds is a huge accomplishment. I love WW I am going to resign once we move and my life can try to get back to normal, whatever that is.
Love ya and keep up the hard work.

Good for you!!! That is a wonderful accomplishment! I can relate to those last 9 pounds or so being tough to get off. Right now I'm working on about 14 pounds, after my last baby was born (5 months ago). I'm doing it on my own (with my blog readers holding me accountable-LOL), but I've done WW on my own in the past and was very impressed with their system. At some point, I'll probably pull out my WW materials again and really buckle down.

Anyway, you certainly deserve to feel good about yourself. Enjoy your sense of accomplishment!

You go girl! I'll be getting back on 'points' after the China trip. I've lost 11 and maintaining it with activity, H2O and better eating habits, although I've not been faithful to my points. When Joanna Mei is home, activity will increase out of necessity.
