I don't know why it took us so long to do this!
We finally fired up the fireplace in our backyard and made S'mores for the kids.
It was definitely Elizabeth's first time having them, and I'm pretty sure Andrew and Becca's 1st time as well.
as you might expect -s'mores were a big hit around here!

getting the first marshmallow on the hanger

blowing out the fire -the kids thought this was SO cool! :)

Elizabeth's very first bite of the all American favorite.

I think she likes it! :)
she didn't just take dainty bites..I'd hold the s'more and then pray she wouldn't bite my finger off! she took these GIANT, mouth-stuffing bites! :)

the kids all sat around the fire when we were done and Andrew said "now we need to sing songs" :)
so we sang Jesus Loves Me since Elizabeth knows that one well. :)
this was an AWESOME way to spend the evening as a family. we will definitely be doing this more often!

Andrew comes up with the sweetest things! (I still remember your picture of him praying by the bed. :) What a sweet night for you all - you deserve it!
What a perfect family night! I love E's face as she's eating the smores.

Sounds like a really fun night!
Mmmmm...smores and 91o? Ah yes, summer will come!
What fun you had and we had by being able to share in it through pics. Hmmm, is it wrong to have smores for b'fast? Maybe I could toast marshmallows on the stove?
what a wonderful way to spend an evening as a family!
What I can say- just yum, yum!!! KJ
