ah yes...the site of Rebecca and her breathing machine.all too familiar around here.
Becca has been sick since that time we took pics of her sleeping on the floor next to the pool table 3 weeks ago. She seemed to get better after that episode, but within a few days a deep cough developed. We kept thinking it would go away, but it only got worse. So I bit the bullet and took her to the peds office yesterday....sure enough, she has strep throat AND a "croup like" condition in her lungs (some wheezing and not moving enough air).....so she's on a round of antibiotics for the strep and breathing treatments for the croup-like condition.
nights have been really rough for us -Becca has had 3-5 major coughing episodes every night for the last week or so and I usually get up with her....last night she had 1 around 10pm when we were going to bed...and that was it! She slept thru the whole night -and so did we! yay!!!
the doc said she should be much better by Thursday...I sure hope so -I'm ready to A) have my little one healthy again and B)sleep thru the night again! :)

Bless her heart! I know how bad that can be. Jackson just went through this last month. He had about 3 weeks of coughing. Once he got on the inhaler it took about a week to clear it up. I know this might sound crazy but when he was coughing alot at night and the cough medicine didn't seem to help I did some internet research. The remedy I found was a drink of water and a cool wet cloth on his throat. Honest! It worked every single time.

Gosh that is awful. I will be praying for all of you. Kaylee for the first time in her life had to have meds for on illness, it was so sad to see her lying around for several days. David has to use his breathing machine regularly. I always feel really bad for him and Tiff.
3 weeks! That's not what this tired momma needed to hear. I did just give in though and call teh Dr. because things are getting a lot worse this morning.
I hope she gets better soon and you get sleep soon.
Oh, I'm so sorry she is sick! Poor thing! I'll be praying the antibiotics do there thing and that the Lord will heal and bless you with full nights of rest!!!
UGh.. I am so sorry to read that Becca is not feeling well. there's nothing worse than a sick child. Hoping she is well very soon!
That is just no good, Jeanette. So, so sorry you're doing this AGAIN. Let me guess, Becca came down with her next ailment on a Tuesday night. (like we always say!) xoxo

Hope she has a better night! We know about those machines around here too! Thankfully.. McKenna has not had an episode in awhile.
Strep.. is very contagious.. SPRAY, & clean... then repeat. I hope she gets better soon!
