WE'RE GETTING HOPEFUL!

I've had a REALLY tough time p*tty training Elizabeth. REALLY tough. She knows what to do, but seems too lazy to actually do it. We had the same kind of difficulty with Andrew.

About 3 weeks ago, she went "stinkies" on the potty for the very first time...and since that day, she has not had 1 stinky accident...at all. We are SO proud of her for that.

NOW-if she can just get the p*eing in the potty I'd be one really happy mama!

I did this with Andrew, although I didn't know it was an actual "method", and then read about it on my friend's blog Somewhere in the Sun...you let the kid run around without a diaper on and that way they can learn what the sensation "to go" is. It worked like a charm with Andrew so I thought I'd try it last night with Elizabeth.

Within 10 minutes of having just a shirt on she came running to me "I've got peeps!" So I say "OK..." and before I can do or say anything, she squatted (like over a squatty potty) and peed all over my kitchen floor.

I was so frustrated.

Then, today, all day long she's had a dry diaper. She tells me she needs to go and we run to the bathroom...and as I'm getting her undressed she says "no peeps on mommy's floor-just peeps in the potty". hehehe!

I realize it's probably too soon to be too excited about going 1/2 of 1 day with a dry diaper..but she SO quickly trained herself with "stinkies", that I'm REALLY hoping once she gets the peeps in the potty idea she'll be quickly trained too.

Oh, it's always so much easier to laugh at someone else's messy floors! LOL E looks just sooo excited when you ask her about the underwear. And I love the "peeps"! Didn't we laugh about that listed on a Chinese paperwork - "peeps regularly"? :) I'm about to share M's now infamous incident at daycare. ;) Way to GO, Miss E!
