WE'RE STILL HERE!

I've had a couple of friends ask "hey-are you OK?! you haven't updated the blog in awhile" :)

yes-we're OK :) just been really busy trying to keep up with life!

Plus, I've noticed I tend to use the computer as an escape...especially when the kids are getting to me, which is exactly the opposite of what I should be doing- spending more time with them cuz they're typically acting out because they need MORE of my attention, not LESS.

anyway-to catch you up....someone, or someone(S), have been sick in our house since Dec. 20th....and yes, it's January 11th. :) It's some kind of cold that lingers.....a. long . time!

Elizabeth was the first sick, then Andrew and me, then Rebecca, then John. All 3 kids still had the illness hanging on 'till late this past week. I had John take Elizabeth into the doctor on Friday (I was back at work flying the friendly skies) and sure enough, she had the beginnings of an ear infection. I'm SO glad I made that appt as I was starting to doubt my instincts.

Let me just stop and say something right now. John and I were both only "under the weather" for 2 days...and I SWEAR it's cuz I made us both drink THIS tea. I'm not gonna lie...it doesn't taste very good...but we both drank 2 cups one night and woke up the next morning feeling better.....and by the next day we were pretty much back to normal. If you are starting to get a cold, you HAVE to try it. you really must. just add lots of honey. :)

OK-back to catching you up.......
Andrew received a camping set from John's mom for Christmas and has been begging to go camping ever since. John set up a tent in our living room so the kids could "camp" for a few days. :)

here they are "roasting marshmallows". I didn't have skewers so they're using chopsticks! ha!

the next morning I let them eat breakfast in the tent.

Last week in Sunday School, Andrew was studying Creation and apparently made "fossil" imprints with playdough. So he came home and wanted to continue his fossil making.

I walked into my kitchen and there were about 10 fossils stuck to my walls!

I'm going to try to do a few posts this week to get caught up so keep checking back!

That is total bologna about that garlic & honey drink. I felt better because I was slamming Airborn and Vit. C.

Love you honey.

They look so cute camping in the house! But John's comment is way funny. =p I'm about to buy some Airbourne 'cause M's got a cold and Ally just got sick all over Alex today, so it's time to get serious. I'll even take the garlic if I must. =p I'm so not missing CNY with our FCC group!
